I trust you have all enjoyed your week, as we head into another action packed week with Australia Day in the middle.

 

On Wednesday Mark & Lee advised of the final details for our 1st event for 2022 being "We're all part of the story" at Market Square on Australia Day. Many volunteers will be required,  so if you are able to assist on the day  please let Lee or Mark know. The day of course is free for everyone and free sausage sandwiches, lamingtons and a drink will be available. There will also be some traditional bush tucker to try off the BBQ compliments from our local indigenous community if you so wish. This will be a wonderful community event for our local community members to enjoy.

 

We were fortunate to have Jen from Westpac Rescue Helicopter address our members with a great presentation of the service that is provided by this vital service for our community. Jen talked a lot about the staff and the service provided as & when it is required. The helicopter relies heavily on fund-raising and salary deductions made by staff from various businesses in our region. The members really appreciated the inspiring and informative talk that Jen gave, thank you.

 

Our lunch for the day was freshly made sandwiches and wraps from Hanks. Thank you to Lee & Judy for organising the lunch. Judy will organise lunch again for Wednesday week (Australia day function will be our meeting this week) for members where we ask for a $10 per member meal fee to be collected.
