Hello everyone,

 

I hope you have all enjoyed the 1st week of freedom after 4 weeks of lockdown. It was certainly great to be able to meet face to face on Wednesday at Roches and was nice to see many of our members.

 

AG Anne attended and showed us once again some of the wonderful work that Ballina on Richmond have done with the issue of an Umbrella to each Police vehicle in the district "Say no to Domestic Violence". She also gave a quick overview of the membership summit that she along with VP Lee & myself attended last Sunday. It is always a pleasure to have AG Anne along to our meetings as she adds more brightness to our already great meetings. Don cardow also celebrated a belated birthday and was extremely surprised when a small treat was served in front of him to enjoy.

 

Early in the week along with Grafton Rotary we met with Open Spaces manager at CVC, Dave Sutton at our park near the bridges. It was agreed to move one of our park benches away from our area to another great spot on the levee wall on the Western side of the Old Grafton Bridge just near the Western side walkway. This will be a great spot to view the beautiful river and the Old Bridge. Peter Lynch was also on site and will start in a couple of weeks. Thank you to Lee, Greg, Dick Pryor, Annie Lydon & Chris Wheelahan from Grafton Rotary & Peter Lynch for attending this productive meeting on site. This will be a fantastic project for our community.

 

 

We had our September Board meeting on Thursday night. We discussed many items throughout another productive meeting and will bring the major items to our meeting on Wednesday. It was agreed as a trial to make the board minutes available each month via Clubrunner. Below is the link that you can view the minutes (You will need to Log in):

 

Don't forget to let Lee know if you and your Wife, Husband, Partner etc are able to join us for a very social gathering at the Grafton Hotel on Saturday night. VP Lee & I thought this would be a great idea to focus on a function that "we can do" as most of our gatherings have had to be cancelled due to the restrictions, so come along and enjoy some friendship & fellowship.

 

This Wednesday's meeting we will be fortunate to have AG Anne come along again to induct our 1st & newest member for 21/22 being Tony Flack, so please come along to welcome Tony to our club.
