   PRESIDENT'S  RUMBLE 
 
Hi everyone, I am enjoying a little R&R this week so no Rumble

Last week Guest speaker was Skye Sear who outlined a few of the programs on offer from the New School of Arts Neighbourhood House Inc. 
The NSOA was established in 1977, and has been operating as a neighourhood centre since its incorporation in 1987.
 The NSOA coordinates a range of funded programs and services including;
  • Long Day Care 
  • Occasional care 
  • After School Care
  • Vacation Care
  • Clarence Valley Community Hubs Project 
  • Volunteer Management Program
  • Community Visitors Scheme
  • Our Healthy Clarence
  • Youth Programs
Now might be a good time to see what opportunities for collaboration that the club and the NSOA can do together.
 
This week is our first social meeting in the stables, the ideal  is to mix and talk to other members.

THANK YOU 
Dear Robert and Midday Rotary members
 
On behalf of our family I would like to thank you all for the beautiful arrangement of flowers, love and support  expressed with the passing of your dear friend and past member of your Club, Des.
 
Des was such a fighter for nearly 11 years against his Renal Cell metastatic cancer. 
He handled it all with such dignity and retained his sense of humour throughout.
He got his wish, to die in his sleep at home, with a sudden heart attack.
We will all miss him very much.
Thank you all again for your love & support.

SOCKS!!!!!
 
                           
WANTED – UNWANTED SOCKS!!!!
Port Macquarie West Rotary Club are seeking clean pairs of socks to add to their collection, currently numbering about 47,000 pairs, before the end of May. They aim to break the Guinness World Record for the most pairs, which is about 65,000 pairs. Please check your drawers and divest yourselves of any that are unwanted. You can hand them in to David & Leila Thompson before the end of April and we will pass them on. One of our previous members, Anthony Devine, is also a member of Port Macquarie West. Let’s see if we can help them to get over the line in time!!
 
BOOK SALE RESULTS
Last week book sale was a very slow time with floods all a round the valley and roads closed.
the club did manged to move a lot of children books and also clean out some very old stock.
Taking were down but the club will clear just over $1100.  
On behalf of the book sale committee I would like to thank all members for their help over the 4 days Lots of fellowship was enjoyed by all.
BUNNINGS BBQ
 
Next Bunnings BBQ THIS SATURDAY 3rd April
 
The clubs next Bunnings BBQ is Easter Saturday 3rd of April.
Judy G will be informing the  volunteers this what time they are required on Saturday this meetings.
If you can not attend please find a replacement for your self and let Judy G know please .
