JOKE CORNER
She hurried to the pharmacy to get medication, got back to her car and
found that she had locked her keys inside.

The woman found an old rusty coat hanger left on the ground. She
looked at it and said, "I don't know how to use this."

She bowed her head and asked God to send her some HELP.

Within 5 minutes a beat-up old motorcycle pulled up, driven by a
bearded man who was wearing an old biker skull rag. He got off of his
cycle and asked if he could help.

She said: "Yes, my daughter is sick. I've locked my keys in my car. I
must get home. Please, can you use this hanger to unlock my car?"

He said, "Sure." He walked over to the car, and in less than a minute
the car was open.

She hugged the man and through tears said, "Thank You SO Much! You are
a very nice man."

The man replied, "Lady, I am NOT a nice man. I just got out of PRISON
yesterday; I was in prison for car theft.

The woman hugged the man again sobbing, "Oh, thank you,
God! You even sent me a Professional!"

   PRESIDENT'S  RUMBLE
Hello everyone & hope you are having a great weekend.

Unfortunately I was an apology at this week’s regular meeting due to another business lunch at the same time, so Vice President Lee stepped in to run the meeting, and I understand she did a fantastic job, thanks so much Lee.

We had another productive board meeting on Thursday night which was our 2nd last of this Centenary year. The June board meeting will be the traditional combined outgoing / incoming board meeting. Greg will give a summary of some key outcomes at Wednesday’s meeting.

Our Changeover dinner is moving along well with the sub committee headed up by “JennyH22” organising the event and the content. This will be a great night for our members and friends to enjoy, as we didn’t have one last year so let’s make this one an extra good one being in our Centenary year.

As we are getting closer toward the end of financial year, if any member has any ideas on a worthy organisation that we maybe able to assist with a donation, let me know ASAP please.

Over the next few weeks we will be discussing the issue of our Corporate membership. This issue has been “on the table” now for a period of time & we need to move it forward like other Rotary clubs have with success. We intend to discuss at a couple of meetings so that each member has a good understanding of how it will work, and from that our By-laws can be amended to allow this new style method of membership to our progressive club so that we continue to progress with modern ways & views within our club. Ballina on Richmond Rotary have had the ability to allow corporate membership for quite a while now and our wording for our bylaws will be following the BORR template, which clearly shows that it works from their results.

At our regular club meetings in the future, we will be talking about some of our current & / or future projects so that all our members can have a good understanding of the projects that we are involved in. That is not to say of course that if you have an idea for a possible project please let our Service Project Board member or myself know. In the current year this is Amanda, and from July it will be Herman.

Until Wednesday have a fantastic start to the week, and start to the last month of the Financial year.

I will leave you with a quote from the great Albert Einstein “ The thinking that got us to where we are, is not the thinking that will get us to where we want to be”.

Centenary President, Robert
