How long have you lived in Grafton: I have lived in Grafton my entire life (19 years).

What do you like about living here: I love how community-oriented Grafton is. I also love all of the wonderful nature that surrounds Grafton, such as the river, beaches and national parks.

How do you spend your spare time: I like to spend my spare time getting creative through art, sewing and photography. I also love to spend as much time as I can with both sides of my family.

Why did you become a Jacaranda Queen candidate: I have always loved the Jacaranda Festival and I have always wanted to get involved. I also think this journey will allow me to grow and develop confidence within myself.

What would it mean to you if you were chosen as Jacaranda Queen or Princess: To be chosen as Jacaranda Queen or Princess would be a privilege that would allow me to represent our community that I know and love.

My first fundraiser has begun!

As you could probably already tell, my first fundraiser for the 85th Grafton Jacaranda Festival is a Krispy Kreme Doughnut Drive🍩!

BOB'S BANTER

An interesting meeting with our guest Speaker Michael Cramb of John Laing giving us an overview of who John Laing are and there role as head contractor for not only the building of the new Grafton gaol but also the management and servicing for the next 25 years. Michael has also offered a site visit if we are interested.

As our next meeting has been moved to the Kensai Bar at the Grafton Ramornie Handicap race meeting we will not be having a guest speaker this week, however, Sergeant Adam Brown of the Grafton Police will be our guest speaker on the 17th. The following Wednesday 24th will be a Club Assembly.

As Theo heads out on Thursday I am sure some would like to wish him well for the future by a message or call to 0474 128 189.

As I am not really a punter I still enjoy the social aspect of a day at the races so look forward to seeing you all Wednesday.
