Lee's Chitchat
Many of us are settling into our new way of life and we all have our struggles with isolation.  We are fortunate that we have the technology to keep in contact in other way.  Our Zoom meetings are going quite well and we are all learning a little more each week about what we have all been up to.

During this time while you are at home the opportunity to Spring Clean and find our wool, thread, craft, books, cooking, tools in the shed and discover forgotten things hidden away.

There are many online tutorials within the Rotary.org page https://my.rotary.org/en/learning-reference why not jump on and have a look.  You may find something of interest for a project once we “get back to normal’ – Perhaps we will have a new normal.

TAFE are offering FREE short training courses whilst COVID19  https://www.tafensw.edu.au/fee-free-short-courses you may find something of interest here.

Here are a few tips to keep yourself busy at home;
  • Clear out your wardrobe
  • Give yourself a manicure
  • Read a book – perhaps you bought a bag of books at the last sale
  • Write a letter
  • Do evening drinks at home – use apps like houseparty and Zoom
  • Catch up on a movie you always were too busy to see
  • Do a crossword or Sudoku
  • Do a Jigsaw
  • Backup all your photos and organise them into folders and albums
  • Plant some flowers
  • Cook – try to keep it healthy
  • Learn to knit or crotcher
  • Have a dance party
  • Exercise – take a nice walk – call a friend and meet them for a chat
To be honest with you I have been struggling with all the changes however when you are feeling a bit blue – don’t wait for someone to contact you…..make a call to a friend….they are having a tough time too.  It definitely cheers you up and them too.

Some of our members are on FACEBOOK and are keeping in touch.....please reach out to all our members and become friends with them on this platform too.

We are all in this together and WILL get to the FLIP side.

I love seeing and hearing what our other members are up to please enjoy some of the photos that were sent to me and please keep sending them through for next bulletin.

MEMBER UPDATES
Sharni and Owen are good just busy with work mainly. Hudson is all better now which is good . Thursday Hudson had rainbow day at daycare so I dressed him up. This is his outfit. He is walking completely on his own now, we got 4 top teeth a few Sundays ago so now we have 6 teeth and he is 11 months old Tuesday. I signed back up with Arbonne I'm hoping I will be able to earn enough money to be able to stay home more 🤞🏻 so if anyone wants to hear more about Arbonne let me know.
Brian Lane has been glued to the corona virus self isolation tractor - this was lunchtime on Saturday.
Judy Glasson is all good and has been missing her coffee and lunch dates and is looking forward to getting the all clear.
Camellia has been busy round the house.......What does a girl do when she can't find her vise? Uses the kitchen bench of course. Doing some metal work modifications to some old coach lamps which will reside in the house when polished. I did eventually find the coping saw. Brass is a little harder than silver to work with, but not a lot of difference. Why do this? A long story but because the air con controls are not where I wanted them the lights need to be shortened to accommodate all.
Jeff Smith has been busy delivering tubs of JOY to the starving citizens of Grafton!
JOY Pack HOME Delivery 🚗 2 x Big Tubs (you pick flavs) + treats +cones = $35 YUM😋
Order Via Messenger by Noon FRI delivery Fri & Sat b/n 2 & 5 pm❣️

Drew with his new host family helping with the BBQ
Drew is quite proud of his Winning Roosters Jersey.....
Jenny Ryder - Life has certainly slowed down a lot and we've been enjoying each other's company at home.  I've been enjoying my fire pit outdoors and cooking in the camp oven and today got the sewing machine out and doing some mending and making myself a dress.
Des is going good and received a message incorrectly addressed to Robert......from Lee....and Mark has been out and about on his bicycle with Avron for exercise.....

Dave and Rox Hart are going well. Haven't been able to go bushwalking or camping for a while so sometimes we settle for a campfire on our back patio - this time it was char grilled steak followed by caramelised figs with maple syrup. Survival food for a lockdown!
Lee and her family shared a beep test and farwelled Drew to his new home with Robert and Gerelle.
Amanda has been busy working on her hand sewing which is beautiful....well done!
Patty has been enjoying driveway afternoon drinks and music with her neighbours and has found some wool hidden in the cupboards.....for a new project....
