JOKE CORNER
David had been extremely anxious for years. It got to the point where his compulsive worrying was ruining his life, so he went to a psychiatrist, who recommended that David hire a professional worrier.

After he’d been working with the specialist for a few months, David’s friend John noticed a change. “What happened?” John asked. “You don’t worry about anything anymore.”

“I hired a professional worrier!” David answered.
“That must cost a fortune,” John said.
“Yes, he charges $3,000 a month,” David said sheepishly.
“Three thousand dollars! How can you ever afford to pay him?” John exclaimed.

“I don’t know,” David said. “That’s his problem.”

   PRESIDENT RUMBLE

I trust everyone has had a good week, and enjoying a little more rain.

This week’s meeting we enjoyed another good size meeting in attendance and had Vic Doe, president of Yamba Rotary attend. Vic collected a number of our purple T-shirts for their Baton relay launch later in the week. Secretary Greg gave a summary overview of our January board meeting to our members to bring the membership up to date with some of our Club’s projects etc. Greg must have done a good job overall as there wasn’t too many questions raised to him., thanks Greg.

We would normally do a Member forum earlier however other items in our weekly meetings didn’t allow the board outcomes to be advised earlier as we have our February board meeting this Thursday night.  Peter advised us of the next Book sale in March, however as usual I will be away on leave when the book sale is on, bugger once again. Judy also let us know that our next Bunnings BBQ will be Easter Saturday which should be a good day for takings.

A few  GMR members attended the Chamber breakfast on Wednesday morning. The chamber advised that they have an event scheduled for Monday night 8th March at Vines which does fall on the same night as our combined Grafton Bush Fire dinner at Southhampton. Our female members &/or female partners may wish to organise to go along to the Vines event for this important day celebrations, however if not we will still have a group attend the Bushfire dinner where everyone is invited.

Take, care & enjoy the start of the week until Wednesday.

President Robert
