Great news! As we know this has been a very difficult couple of years due to COVID restrictions and many events have been cancelled or postponed, so its very exciting that the Rotary Carols by Candlelight is going ahead this year in Market Square, Grafton.
The Clarence Valley Orchestra and Chorus in conjunction with Grafton Midday Rotary have partnered with the postponed Jacaranda Festival event and will be held during festival activities on Saturday 4th December, arriving 6:00pm for a 6:30pm start.
As this will be held in Market Square, the newly acquired Jacaranda marquee will be in position over a week of the new festival dates, so this year we have introduced ticketed seating to utilize all facilities, with money going to both Rotary and the Festival. Alcoholic refreshments will be available from the Coopers Bar on the evening with any profit also going towards the running of the Jacaranda Festival.
This will be the 4th year the Clarence Valley Orchestra has combined with the Clarence River Dance Academy to bring you a night of excitement, singing and lots of fun for the whole family.

experience and history of the ferries of the Clarence sharing with us numerous facts of the many ferries that were in place along the Clarence. There were many memories of the experiences such as at Harwood where a red Kero light was in place at night, where the light would be turned away from the bank to advise the Ferry master that the Ferry was required! It was a sad year for the locals of Harwood when in 1966 the Harwood Bridge was opened and the ferries become redundant. Thank you Rex for a wonderful Ferry journey that you shared with us.
