Hello GMR members,
I hope you have all been safe & well and enjoyed your week. If this week was your 1st week back at work, I trust that you have settled into work well for 2022.
Wednesday was our 1st official meeting for 2022 at Roches. Without a Kitchen at present members enjoyed Pizzas before the start of our meeting. It was very pleasing to hear the members share with the club their happy & enjoyable moments experienced over the Xmas break.
Mark & Lee gave us a detailed overview of the plans in place for the Australia day event at Market Square, “We’re All Part of the Story”. This Wednesday they will have a roster for anyone that is able to and wishing to assist on the day.
Due to the pending sale of Roches the Kitchen remains closed at present so each week we will have to “play it by ear” in regards to what we can eat at our meeting. This Wednesday fresh sandwiches will be organised for the members attending with a proposed small contribution toward the cost by members attending.
Thursday night we also had our 1st very productive board meeting for 2022. The board discussed many items on the radar for the 2nd half of the 2021/22 year and start of the 2022/23 year. All going well, an overview will be discussed with members on Wednesday of the key points.
On behalf of the club we would like to wish Adrian & Anne a very happy 50th Wedding anniversary. What a wonderful achievement for them both & trust they were able to celebrate the achievement in style with friends & family. As our PE stated she is only just that age, wow!
