Hi everyone,
I hope you are all coping well throughout these trying times once again. Thank goodness though we live in a regional area!
For the 1st time in twelve months we held our 1st Zoom meeting for 2021. Yes it was August 20th 2020 when we had our last Zoom meeting, so whilst we were all a little rusty with Zoom we enjoyed the company of twelve members. We also had social visits during the meeting by Gerelle & Terry. Quite unusual to our regular face to face meetings there was lots of Alcoholic beverages by our sides to enjoy. The members shared lots of good positive moments that they have been involved in during these times.
Herman gave us an update on some of our current projects during the meeting, and whilst we actually can’t do a lot of projects at present, we can continue to think of worthy projects for suggestions once we are able to, so if you have an idea let Herman know & he will send you a form to complete.
District Governor Jeff advised us that a new Rotary club had been chartered, “Rotary Club of Koala Lovers”, so we welcome our newest club in our district.
Sargent at Arms Mark did another great job in the “Happy Dollars / Fine session” with the 1st fine being on Camellia with his “Hymn & Hymn” joke!
It was decided to continue with the Thursday night Zoom meetings at present commencing at 7pm as the consensus from the members in attendance was that Thursday suited the majority better at this stage. Be sure to attend this week’s meeting as there will be a little bit of more fun with some trivia hosted by our PE Lee, so diarise to join.
