Confusion over guest speakers meant we had our RYPEN attendees and Theo as speakers on Wednesday.
Lucy Herring and Cathalijne McKenzie reported on their weekend at the RYPEN camp and how they both benefited from achieving challenges as well as having a great time meeting new friends, and: PARTYING!!!.
Theo gave us an interesting insight into the District Safari for the YEP group of exchange students taking us on a whirlwind tour of Australia by way of his powerpoint presentation. A wonderful experience for all the young men and women who will soon be leaving us to return to their respective homelands. I am sure they leave us with mixed feelings but they have made great friendships which can continue for life.

The introduction of our Jacaranda Festival Queen and Junior Princess entrants on Sunday at the Eat, Meet and Greet function in Market square certainly went off with a bang, obviously a sign of things to come for this
year’s festival!. Our sponsored girls, Zahli and Miriam, both carried themselves well and I am sure they will be good ambassadors for our club.

           

 

I have reserved a table at the Jacaranda Ball for our club, tickets available at $100.00 per person with all proceeds being credited to our candidate Zahli. All monies that Zahli and the Club raise will be credited
to our Charity Account, so let’s get behind any fundraising for her. Our support committee of Judy, Judith, Amanda, Patty and Sharni will be working with her and if you have some ideas for fundraising discuss them with the team.

Am looking forward to our changeover cum birthday bash on Friday at Roches. If you haven’t already done so could you please get your payment/acceptances in so the kitchen can ensure they have sufficient
