Recently, club members, Richard and Paul met with Nigel Dick, President of Bundaberg Players Incorporated at the Playhouse Theatre for an official opening and handover of the benches donated to them by our club.

These benches were presented to the Bundaberg Players as recognition for their help and involvement in Oceanfest in 2022. The two benches sourced from Replas are made from 100% recycled plastic and represent both organisation's commitment to the environment.

Our club has participated in Clean Up Australia Day many times in the past and in 2022 a group of club members and some family members set out to clean up our chosen site at the Oceanfront section of Bargara Headlands Estate and nearby areas.

It was a very windy morning but our fearless team set up on the concrete pad near the yarning circle where some Rotary seating was soon to be established as part of a donation from our club.  The group split up into different teams picking up debris along the shore, up to Whale Lookout and along the pathway. The amount of rubbish surprised us, with most of the rubbish being found on the rocky shore having floated in.

Overall, this was another successful Clean Up Australia day event where we helped to make part of our beautiful town cleaner for all to enjoy.
Each Rotary (financial) year our club donates funds raised to a wide range of worthy charities, not-for-profits, community organisations, and worthy causes.
