The Canmore Rotary Club Charitable Foundation (CRCCF) exists to support the work of the Rotary Club of Canmore. Established in 2000, CRCCF is a charity managed by a board of directors elected annually from the Canmore Rotary Club membership. It is registered with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA Registration No. 86371-5520-RR0001) and files annually under the Alberta’s Charitable Fundraising Act and Alberta Societies Act (Incorporation No. 508857893). It is set up to receive donations and bequests, and to issue income tax receipts.

Approved objects include:
– raising funds and distributing funds to qualified donees
– seniors housing & equipment
– Rotary House respite housing
– scholarships, bursaries & awards for students
– equipment & books for local schools
– parks, playgrounds, recreational & cultural facilities
– international aid projects.

In its first decade, the Canmore Rotary Foundation provided financial support for expansion of Bow River Seniors Lodge, responded to natural disasters such as the tsunami in Thailand, and supported aid projects in Tanzania, Mexico, Guatemala and other developing countries. In 2013, CRCCF stepped up to assist in Bow Valley flood relief/recovery efforts and a total of $880,000 was raised and distributed. In 2014/15, CRCCF supported Ebola prevention efforts in West Africa and disaster response efforts in earthquake-ravaged Nepal.

CRCCF is volunteer-run and endeavours to keep administrative costs to a minimum (in range of $3,000 annually). Donations made online via ATB Cares are matched 15% by ATB. (Click the DONATE NOW button to donate via ATB Cares.

Tax receipts will be issued for donations of $25 or more if full mailing address is provided.
