Club meetings are back to face to face with Zoom attendance also available to anyone who wishes to attend electronically. Below is the link to our Zoom meetings beginning at 6.00pm each Thursday.
President Liz has issued the following statement.
As a club we need to be following the recommendations and guidelines from the Government and Health Authorities and take measures for limiting the spread of this virus in our community.
The Board will monitor the situation weekly and as soon as it is declared safe by the authorities to resume social gatherings we will recommence our weekly meetings.
We have also decided to or have been advised of the cancellation of numerous other projects as follows:
  • Peter Mc Bean has advised that the Project Neighbour monthly outings will be postponed and reviewed in July.
  • The Honorary Members and Guests monthly morning tea will also be postponed and reviewed in July.
  • The Charity Golf Day has been postponed until a future unknown date.
  • The MHERV van organisers have advised that the visit to Salamander Shopping Centre on the weekend of 27 to 29 March has been cancelled.
  • We have also been advised that Bunnings are cancelling their BBQs Australia wide.
As Rotary members we will certainly be in for a quiet time over the next few months. I would like all of us to take the time to call other members to have a chat and to check how they are coping with the limited social interactions recommended by the Government and Health authorities.
We should also be alert to the wellbeing of our members, neighbours and others in the community regarding their status of grocery and food items, and other household needs, and to provide assistance should the need arise.
Members will be kept informed of activities and developments via a weekly newsletter.
Kind regards
Liz Friend
