GUEST SPEAKERS: Jamie Clarke and George Achilleos
By Ralph Lundberg

Dan Adams took the podium to introduce our two speakers, Jamie Clarke and George Achilleos,  then moved to a trio of chairs to conduct an interview style presentation.  For the rest of us, it was like sitting a bar somewhere listening to three guys talk about their beginnings, adventures and dreams.  You just had to listen in !

Adult Literacy Reports

The Adult Literacy Committee of The Rotary Club of Calgary has been making a difference in adult literacy for over fifteen years. A new initiative focused on improving adult literacy and family learning skills was launched in the fall of 2015. This initiative is described in detail in the Mid-Point Evaluation of the Homework Help Program. The program is funded by the Rotary Club of Calgary working with its partners, the Calgary Public Library and Bow Valley College. The Rotary Club of Calgary continues to support foundational learning and essential skills for adults through Adult Basic Literacy Education. See the full Report.
