President Joe’s Inaugural Meeting Diane Macdonald The Oak Room at the Palliser Hotel was crowded for President Joe Fras’ first meeting of his Rotary year. There are some changes from the past few years, one of which is a plated meal, rather than a buffet lunch. One reason for this is to allow for more table talk and fellowship. President Joe felt he had very good control of the meeting through the usual Land Acknowledgement, singing of Oh Canada and the Invocation, but little did he know that there were plans to way-lay his organization! The Fras Four (George Brookman, Tim Heaton and his guitar, Michael Pierson and Dennis Tran) took the stage and sang a great song they had written in honour of our new President. |
