The Meeting May 3, 2016: Happy Birthday Marmie

When you arrived at the entry to the Crystal ballroom you knew something was up ! A long line of visitors and visiting Rotarians had formed, engulfing the entry table and if that wasn’t enough a huge band was milling about ready to enter. The ticket sellers faced an endless stream of Rotarians, many of whom had pre-purchased their tickets and many of whom who don’t read their mail and waited to buy lunch tickets. Inside, four reserved tables were required to seat the many distinguished participants, all there to honour Marmie Hess on the occasion of her 100th Birthday! The Crystal Ballroom was packed as celebrants enjoyed freshly sliced roast beef and a superb salmon presentation.
We need hundreds of volunteers to cater two of the largest parties in the city, and you can register yourself, as well as your friends and family, to volunteer at the Stampede Roundup and/or the Oxford Stomp by following the registration links below.
As we are continuing our efforts build a database of reliable volunteers, we really need a valid email address and phone number for each volunteer you sign up.
