The Meeting March 22, 2016

Beautiful late afternoon sunshine greeted the gathering of the Members of The Rotary Club of Calgary and The Rotary Club of Calgary South last week. The venue, the Calgary Golf and Country Club was as quietly elegant and pastoral as ever, even if current renovations added a few minor construction detours.
The Adult Literacy Committeeof The Rotary Club of Calgary has been making a difference in adult literacy for over fifteen years. A new initiative focused on improving adult literacy and family learning skills was launched in the fall of 2015. This initiative is described in detail in the Mid-Point Evaluation of the Homework Help Program. The program is funded by the Rotary Club of Calgary working with its partners, the Calgary Public Library and Bow Valley College. The Rotary Club of Calgary continues to support foundational learning and essential skills for adults through Adult Basic Literacy Education. See the full Report.
