The Stay-in-School Program had a very successful Christmas Party on December 6th, 2024 at Carya Village Commons. We had over 60 mentors and mentees attend, which is the most we’ve ever had! Program participants enjoyed decorating and baking croissants, making cards and putting together care packages for individuals at the Drop-in Centre, an adult vs. youth jeopardy game, and lots of food, chocolate and video games. It was a great evening and fun was had by all.

Generators NOW in Ukraine
Sonny Belenkie

Dear All,

I just received the final report regarding the number of generators provided to the Ukraine made possible by your incredible generosity. We raised approximately $90,000 locally and, through this initiative, our European colleagues contributed substantial additional donations. A total of 170 generators were purchased and transported to the Rotary depot in Lviv from which the generators are being distributed to the most needy recipients.

Thank you so much for your most generous support that made this possible.

Sincerely,
Sonny Belenkie and Gerry Darichuk,
The Rotary Clubs of Calgary Downtown and Calgary North
A Letter of Thanks

Dear Rotary Club of Calgary Downtown,

I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude for hosting me and giving me the incredible opportunity to speak at your esteemed club. Thank you, Mr. President and the Club Manager, for your warm welcome and thoughtful engagement.

This experience has been truly unforgettable — a lifetime memory that I will always treasure. Your hospitality, passion for service, and dedication to making a difference left a profound impression on me.

Thank you once again for this wonderful honor. I look forward to staying connected and seeing all that your club will achieve in the future.

With appreciation,

Charter President Rotary Club of Juja

Jeremiah Mathai Chege

Make A Donation ... Make An Impact
Terry McMahon

The Mayhood Honour Roll displays the names of Rotarians who have contributed their treasure to either the Calgary Rotary Clubs Foundation and / or The Rotary Foundation. It's nearly the end of the year and still time to make your donation to HAVE AN IMPACT and get that CHARITABLE DONATION receipt.

The Mayhood Honour Roll Legacy Circle:

Recently we have recognized Barbara and Michael Colborne for their reaching the legacy circle on the Mayhood Honour Roll through regular donations; Michael indicated that it was smaller donations over time that have had a major impact.
At our December 17th meeting, we recognized and celebrated the late Walter Chayka‘s generous support of Rotary’s two foundations and his reaching the legacy circle as well. It was lovely to meet with his wife Gloria and son Michael at our meeting.

CRCF and TRF, our two Foundations, provide the fuel for our club and Rotarians in our District to execute projects of IMPACT in our community and abroad. Every contribution counts- big or small. Make a donation ... make an impact!
