A Great Christmas Club Meeting
2024-12-17 Christmas Club Meeting
Club Assemblies Coming Right Up
Manon MItchell
Now that we have firmly settled into two standard club meetings each month, and with amazing speakers by the way, it is becoming apparent that even with a meeting lasting 1.5 hours, there is not enough time to deal with club business and have enough time for fellowship and connecting. A proposal to hold 1 club assembly each month was approved by the Board. Watch for more details as we publish the agenda and dates for these club assemblies. Committee Chairs  and Directors, this will be your opportunity for getting in front of our club members to increase awareness of club activities, provide information and gather feedback on our members' club experience. More information coming soon!
Rotary Employment Partnership – News Update
Al McMillan
Evenor now has a job at MEC (Mountain Equipment Coop) thanks to the Rotary Employment Partnership. Support from Rotarians was key to the Partnership’s success in filling 70 new jobs last year in Alberta. We continue to need your help as a Rotarian to introduce the Partnership to employers with an interest in learning more about hiring individuals with an intellectual disability. It all starts with a discussion.

Contact Mike Colborne or Al McMillan if you would like more information. To read some success stories in our Winter Newsletter, click here.

COG Editor Stepping Down
Manon Mitchell
After over 2 years in the position of Editor, I have to step away from this role as my role of District Governor Elect is now requiring more of my time. If you have a passion for being in the know and love sharing stories, this position is for you. You would be joining the great team of Diane Macdonald, Doug McMillan and Ebenezer Mensa. Together, this team makes the COG happen every 2 weeks. There are many people who provide articles on a regular basis so the job is more about inserting the stories in the COG rather than writing them. This position comes with lots of support and I'll spend time with you ensuring you know exactly how to add great stories from our club. Please contact me as soon as possible so we can cross train and ensure smooth transition.
