On the evening of Saturday 27th May, our music scholarship competition will take place again. The Rotary Club of Calgary Downtown Emerging Artists Scholarship in partnership with Mount Royal Conservatory will beheld in the TransAlta Pavilion in the Bella Theatre Complex at MRU. More details to come- please SAVE THE DATE.

In advance of the competition, there will be a special reception: on Sunday 14th May, Mount Royal Conservatory would like to invite up to six Rotarians from our club and their guests, to attend a scholarship reception and concert. The concert will include the last of this season's Wyatt concerts - it will be a huge event featuring Andres Cardenes leading the CYO in Beethoven's violin concerto, a choral work and a Mahler Symphony! The scholarship reception will be held beforehand, with several student performances (including Rotary Club of Calgary Downtown scholarship recipients). It will be a wonderful evening of music, with an opportunity to get to know the Conservatory and the students we are supporting.

To remember the spectacular performances from last year’s competition, please check out the video highlights if you haven’t already.

Please reply to me ASAP if you are interested in attending on Sunday 14th May to this reception in advance of our scholarship competition on May 27. Once I have 6 people confirmed, I will pass your details onto MRU so that Mount Royal Conservatory may extend an official invitation to you personally.

With best wishes,

Sophie Serafino - Music Scholarship Chair
