Hi My Rotary Friends,
Thank You everyone for a truly wonderful Changeover Dinner on Wednesday evening. Thank you so much to the amazing changeover committee who planned and organised our event, it was truly beautiful…. and so much fun!
We certainly missed our Incoming President Stephanie, who was isolated at home with Covid…. but we loved her recorded speech and toast, and we look forward to having a special ceremony at our meeting on Wednesday to officially handover the Chain of Office to you Stephanie.
Thank you to Brigette for organising her husband and his band to come and play, what fabulous music…. we had so much fun dancing and singing along with them.
AG Bruce Kuhn won the raffle, and $265 was raised for our Flood Appeal – well done!
Huge congratulations to our Awesome Award Winners:
Club Person of the Year – Ann Prendergast
Rookie of the Year – Mark Moore
Perfect Project Manager of the Year – Simone Wong
Three truly inspirational members, who really are Serving To Change Lives!
Many thanks also to Ann and her husband Grant who presented a second Defibrillator Education Session at Tyalgum on Tuesday, which means all AED’s have now been presented and potential users trained. An amazing project that our Club has completed – congratulations everyone.
A number of our members attended District Changeover on Sunday, to thank our DG Jeff Egan for the incredible work he has done this last year…. and to welcome in our new DG Karen Thomas. Lots of wonderful news to share with you all…. and so I am looking forward to making some very special announcements at our meeting on Wednesday with stories from this Rotary Celebration.
Our Flood Recovery Project continues, and $5000 worth of Bunnings vouchers were delivered to the Chinderah Recovery Hub Centre…… and we have sold approx. 40 more cases of wine over the week. We still have hundreds of cases of wine left, so please let David know if you want to purchase any.
Looking forward to seeing you all at our meeting on Wednesday, as I hand over to our new President Stephanie, and we can all take some time to share our stories from the last year, and celebrate together!
Yours in Rotary,
Jeannie
