Hi My Rotary Friends,
SURPRISE!!!!
What a wonderful surprise to go out on a dinner date with my husband, and discover that a Surprise Dinner had been organised for me…. Thank you all so much! It was such a fun night, and I thank you all for the beautiful gift. The massage I will absolutely enjoy every moment of, and the earrings I will treasure always. Thursday night will be a part of my life’s special memories forever!
So when we weren’t all out having a fun time at dinner, everyone has been very busy with all things Rotary over this last week. It was a fabulous, and very busy, meeting on Wednesday, with Meg Main talking about her Bike Ride for Riding For Charity – what an amazing presentation and an amazing lady…. and Simone and Wayne updated us our Rotary Flood Project. We enjoyed the company of 7 visitors at our meeting! Such a wonderful energy and buzz with so many members and so many visitors in the room, it was very energising!
This coming Wednesday we have “Aunty Jackie” McDonald coming to visit as our guest speaker, and she will speak to us about our local indigenous, and the Education Programs for them that she is involved with. We have created a meaningful connection with our local Bundjalung community after our Australian Day Event, and I am excited to learn more Aunty Jackie.
It’s a busy weekend ahead, with Stephanie and David attending PELTS….. and many of us attending the Leadership Training on Sunday…. So I am sure we will have lots of stories (and fines) to tell on Wednesday morning.
Wine anyone? So next Thursday evening we are hosting a Wine & Cheese Evening, to help sell our donated cases of wine, with all funds to be used to support those affected by floods. Please invite your family and friends, and we would love to see you there.
FOUNDATION: We are only weeks away from the end of the financial year…. So remember to make those tax deductible donations to Rotary Foundation asap, you are planning to donate.
Thank you everyone for serving to change lives!
Yours in Rotary,
Jeannie
