Well, District Expo has just finished, and what an incredibly successful and inspiring weekend it has been! I have loved every moment of spending time with everyone, great fun and wonderful friendship…. and the keynote speakers were all beyond amazing! What we have listened to, and experienced as the speakers shared their experiences, will stay with us all forever. A lot of very emotional stories shared, and so much inspiration and motivation felt as we all sat in awe of what these incredible people have done to Serve To Change Lives.
The Autumn Dance Saturday saw so much fun and frivolity… and so good to see so many of our members there. Friday night’s dinner at the railway station was also sensational, and between all the social get togethers, manning our booths, and participating in all aspects of the Expo, it has been a truly memorable weekend……. Watch out for lots of Fun Fines this Wednesday though everyone!
Fabulous Member Behind The Badge presentation from Suzanne Dewhurst last week- thank you so much Suzanne! Such an enjoyable way to get to know each other better, and looks we have us new club photographer too! So many wonderful talents that Suzanne has, and thank you for sharing them with us Suzanne.
This coming Wednesday we have Geoff White presenting to us all. Geoff is both a local professional photographer, and a part of a global emergency response team, so we are all looking forward to hearing more about this.
Our joint Rotary Clubs Flood Project is well under way, and we have committed to 40 fridges to date, $6000 of vouchers which will be distributed this coming week, and we are awaiting further information in regards to what our next commitments are. Many thanks to Simone for coordinating all of this on behalf of all three clubs.
Looking forward to seeing you all on Wednesday,
Yours in Rotary, Jeannie
