Rotarian Wendy Bates-Wiebe addressed the Rotary Club of Airdrie today and told us about her business and work in the Airdrie community. Wendy is a Rotarian since 2009 and past-president of the Rotary Club of Airdrie, she is a business owner in Airdrie for going onto 10 years this year, a member of the Airdrie Business Club, a board member of the Airdrie Food Bank from 2013 – 2015, and she is loved by all who know her.
Wendy started in the oil & gas industry, but took up her calling at the age of 32 and went back to school to learn hairdressing, and after a short stint of working for someone else, opened ‘The Hair Lounge’ in Airdrie. It is located mid-town in its own premises, and is an award-winning salon that has fifteen experienced stylists who remain up-to-date with current trends and techniques. Yearly they are updated by artists on the latest styles and techniques and offers services ranging from a change in color or style to overall condition, to best suit  anyone’s lifestyle and changing needs. Wendy and her stylist’s goal is to provide treatments and products that are helpful to every client specifically, in a total relaxed atmosphere.
This mother of two likes camping and reality TV, and Franck is the one that brings music to her.
