D9800 conference March 16-18, 2018

The conference is in Warrnambool, a beautiful coastal town situated on the Prince’s Highway  south east of Melbourne and dating from the gold rush days of the 1850’s. It is a fabulous location and we hope you’ve had a look at the website to gain some idea of what’s in store;

We look forward to keeping you informed and to seeing you there.

Industry Visit Bendigo Jockey Club

Wednesday January 31st 2018

7.00am for 7.30am Start

Our meeting of Wednesday January 31st 2018 will be an Industry Visit
to the Bendigo Jockey Club (Bendigo Racecourse). The address is
Strathdale/White Hills Road, Ascot. We will meet over breakfast and
our visit will include an overview of the Racing Industry in Bendigo by
Margot Falconer, the President of the Bendigo Jockey Club, and a tour
of points of interest including the opportunity to watch track work.
We will gather in Silks Restaurant, which is part of the newer stand to
the right of the old stand as you enter through the wrought iron gates.
This meeting will be at our regular meeting time.

Breakfast will be a continental style with cereal, toast, condiments,
orange juice, tea and brewed coffee at a cost of $22. Members are
asked to note that this is a worksite and are requested to exercise
caution on arrival. There will be a number of horses on their way to
track-work in the vicinity of the wrought iron gates. We are grateful to
Jenny Rawiller, Function and Events Manager, for all her work in
arranging this visit for us.
