Last week in Rotary
Doug took the reins as chair for the morning and he was quickly reminded that he should go back to work full time as he appears to have too much time on his hands to “surf the net” for items of humour.
It was great to see so many at “an informal breakfast”, Our guests included Pauline who took off the main raffle prize, a one metre long, block of Toblerone chocolate, kindly donated by Adrian. Rob took home a bottle of bubbles and Bruce a packet of playing cards.
Patti joined us for a discussion on the knitting project with Rotarian John Jones from RC Eaglehawk. John was on the recent trip to Timor Leste with Merrin and Graeme.
The highlight of the morning was the induction of Ian Johnson. Ian has decided to rejoin Rotary as our meeting time allows for him to be able to attend for our usual breakfast. Ian’s classification is “Tourist attractions”.
We all welcome you Ian to the Rotary Club of Bendigo Sandhurst and we hope your time with us is both enjoyable and fulfilling. Thanks Stan for introducing Ian to the club.
