Guatemala Water Filter Project

Gallipolis Rotary in 2013-2014 is gearing up with the Rotario Guatemala Este (Rotary Club of Guatemala City East) to bring clean water to 100 Guatemalan families in rural villages near Panajachel, Guatemala.  Our club has received a matching grant from District 6690 for $1,000 which our club will match with another $1,000 to help buy personal water filtration units for families.  Our co-sponsors in Guatemala will also match our $2,000 to hopefully double the number of families we can help.  In 2014, a number of Rotarians from Ohio will travel to Panajachel to personally work this project along side of our Guatemalan Rotarian sponsors.
