Creston Valley Rotary Announces Paul Harris Recognition
Paul Percy Harris (April 19, 1868 – January 27, 1947) was a Chicago, Illinois, attorney. He founded the club that became the humanitarian organisation Rotary International in 1905.
Continuing the legacy of our founder, the Paul Harris Fellow program recognizes individuals who contribute, or who have contributions made in their name, of $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.
The honour was established in 1957 to show appreciation for contributions that support our Annual Fund, PolioPlus, or an approved Foundation grant.
Creston Valley Rotary Club is pleased to announce that DARCY ELLIOTT has been recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow in appreciation for his contributions in community leadership and service,  and in particular, his in-kind and financial support of our annual Wood Sales fundraiser known as the  “Block Party”.  Darcy Elliott personally, and through his business, Hidden Valley Wood Fibre Ltd., is an examples of the many citizens of this community whose service and contributions often go unnoticed.  We are pleased and proud to make this announcement today…the formal presentation will be made to Darcy Elliott at our next club meeting on Tuesday, July 21, 2020,  in the Rotary Pavilion in Centennial Park.
