Youth Exchange students (and Arlene) at Camp Lutherhaven, south of Coeur d'Alene on the weekend of May 2 & 3.
Last weekend four outbounds from Cranbrook, Seri-Anna Schroh, Burke Bidder, Emily Mayes and May Hall, went to the district's outbound camp at Camp Lutherhaven.  While there they were introduced to the other outbounds from District #5080 (18 in total) and were briefed on what to expect from their year as an exchange student.  They also met up with our current inbound students who were at the end of their Friendship Tour.
This tour is when the inbounds share their last time together before they all begin to return to their home countries.  Maxime and Ivonne saw Creston, Nelson, Castlegar, Rossland, Sandpoint, Coeur d'Alene and Silverwood Theme Park--each new place giving them wonderful memories.  All the clubs involved made sure the students had an amazing time.
Our club's two students, Seri-Anna and Burke will be going to Australia and Japan respectively, and the other two students from Cranbrook, Emily and May, are heading to Brazil and Japan.  On behalf of all the Rotarians, we hope you have a wonderful year.
Our club will be hosting Manon from the Alsace region of France and she will be arriving near the end of August and our other inbound will be coming from New Zealand in the new year.  If you would like to host one of our inbounds, please contact Shelley.  Your time with a student will bring you many new opportunities to learn about other countries, and you will feel fulfilled helping them experience our community.  Think of all the things you have to offer, be it a young family or a retired family who have the time to spend with a person new to Cranbrook
