Profiled in numerous media outlets such as the New York Times, Kiplinger’s, CNBC, Entrepreneur, and The Street, Doug brings a unique perspective to the world of finance. His ground-breaking book, From Monk To Money Manager: A Former Monk’s Financial Guide To Becoming A Little Bit Wealthy – And Why That’s Okay, receives enthusiastic reviews for its wisdom and thought-provoking insights told with humility and humor. Doug is a self-proclaimed “Suffering Prevention Specialist,” as well as a cartoonist, columnist, and speaker. He graduated Marine Corps Office Candidate School, was ordained as a Benedictine monk by Fr. Richard Rohr, and taught math and economics during his 20 years in the monastery. He continues to provide pro bono advice to low-income families and has won awards for his volunteer efforts for the homeless. |

Will Wilson’s art projects center around the continuation and transformation of customary indigenous cultural practice. He is a Diné photographer and trans-customary artist. Wilson studied photography, sculpture, and art history at the University of New Mexico (MFA, Photography, 2002) and Oberlin College. In 2007, Wilson won the Native American Fine Art Fellowship from the Eiteljorg Museum, in 2010 the Joan Mitchell Foundation Award for Sculpture, and in 2016 the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant for Photography. Wilson is a committed educator who has taught at Institute of American Indian Arts (1999-2000), Oberlin College (2000-01), and the University of Arizona (2006-08). In 2017, Wilson’s received the NM Governor's Award for Excellence in the Arts. His work is exhibited and collected nationally and internationally. Wilson is Program Head of Photography, Santa Fe Community College. |

Big Brothers/Big Sisters

Sarah is the Director of Development for Big Brothers Big Sisters. Her background is in social work and as an LCSW she worked for 5 years as a school-based therapist at Ortiz Middle school and then went on to be the supervisor of the CCSS program for Presbyterian Medical Services. Throughout college, Sarah was a Big Sister to her Little Sister named Ebony. When she began looking for a way to make a bigger impact in the lives of children in New Mexico she remembered her experience as a Mentor. Now she is a Big Sister once again to a Little Sister named Brianda and is dedicated to helping Big Brothers Big Sisters serve as many children in New Mexico as possible. |

Having worked in the fields of historic preservation, community development, and planning for 15 years, Lisa Gavioli Roach recognizes that the importance of saving old buildings lies not just in preserving the physical fabric of place but in creating the opportunity for living people to tell their stories, to connect with the past, and to derive meanings that can shape their community’s future. Lisa received her Master’s Degree in Community and Regional Planning and Graduate Certificate in Historic Preservation from the University of New Mexico, and studied Ancestral Puebloan archaeology at the University of Arizona, where she received a Master of Arts in Anthropology. Lisa has been a Senior Project Manager at JenkinsGavin, Inc. since January 2021, and has previously worked in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Annette Prapasiri brings her passion for connective brand communication design to our board. A graduate of The Seattle Art Institute’s Graphic Design Department and the St. John’s College Great Books Program, she blends her craft with critical and analytical thinking skills. Annette runs her own brand design practice, Six Blooms, dedicated to building brand integrity through clarity, empathy, and accountability. She has made design and strategic contributions to multiple community projects, assisting with fundraising, project management, PR and advertising, and offering her design service to move a project’s mission forward. |

Maria Sanchez-Tucker joined the the Santa Fe Public Library as Division Director in August of 2019. Sanchez-Tucker is from Pueblo, CO. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of New Mexico, a Master of Arts in Museum Science from Texas Tech University and a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Sanchez-Tucker is the former Manager of Library Special Collections and Museum Services at the Pueblo City-County Library District in Pueblo, CO and has been in the library, museum and nonprofit field for over twenty years, working with a variety of cultural institutions and collections. She has experience in all aspects of library work including library programs, collections, fundraising and development and community outreach working with diverse audiences.. She believes that the public library is the center of the community, supporting lifelong learning and literacy and fostering creativity and innovation in a community. |

Vicki will serve as Rotary International Director from the “Big West” Zones 26 & 27 from 2021 to 2023. Vicki is a proud member of the Rotary Club of Sparks, Nevada. She joined Sparks Rotary in 1992, served as club president in 2004-2005, and as Governor for District 5190 in 2013-2014. Vicki’s “Why” in Rotary is to make a positive difference—whether in youth service, public image, polio eradication, leadership development, education, or growing Rotary through new clubs and supporting Rotarians and Rotaractors. Vicki graduated from the University of Utah with a Marketing degree and Master of Business Administration and went on to own a commercial electrical contracting firm in northern Nevada. Vicki and her husband, Tim, live in Reno, Nevada at the base of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Their blended family includes 7 adult children, 9 grandchildren, and 3 Rotary Youth Exchange daughters. Their interests include outdoor activities and general aviation. Vicki and Pilot Tim are members of the International Fellowship of Flying Rotarians. They support Our Rotary Foundation as Major Donors and members of the Paul Harris Society, Polio Plus Society, and the Bequest Society. |

Jeffrey Sutton holds the Friedkin Chair for Research in Sensory System Integration and Space Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, where he is Professor and Founding Director of the Center for Space Medicine. Dr. Sutton is also Chair of the Board of the NASA-supported Translational Research Institute for Space Health. Previously, he served as the President and CEO of the National Space Biomedical Research Institute (NSBRI). He also founded and directed the Neural Systems Group at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology. Dr. Sutton received his education and training at the University of Toronto and Harvard University, and holds MD, MSc, and PhD (theoretical physics) degrees. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and Fellow of the Aerospace Medical Association. His career spans research, education, clinical care, and administration. He has made significant scientific and technical contributions in the fields of smart medical systems, computational neuroscience, neuroimaging, and space medicine. Under his leadership, NSBRI transformed space biomedical research nationally, and the Center for Space Medicine is a world leader in space medicine innovation and education. Among his accolades is the NASA Distinguished Public Service Medal (NASA’s highest honor), and the Scientific Achievement Award of the Space Medicine Association is named in his honor. |

David Markwardt owns David Markwardt Consulting, LLC. He received a degree in Master of Science in Organization Development from Pepperdine University in 2007. David has a strong interest in organizational values. His research for his thesis focused on how experience-based training and development can support organizational values at the individual and team levels. His Master’s Degree in Poetry was awarded from Vermont College in 1998. He received his Professional Teaching Certification in 1992 from the University of Houston, Houston, Texas and his undergraduate degree in 1984 from Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH. David has extensive training in experiential education, conflict resolution, cultural issues, communications training, management and leadership training, and team building. David started and directed Teamwork in Action at Santa Fe Community College (SFCC) from 1996 to 2018. He also started and directed the SFCC Leadership Institute, Graduate Institute and Supervisor Institute. He retired from SFCC in July 2018. David has facilitated numerous workshops and team-building retreats for organizations across New Mexico and the United States. He is the facilitator for many programs in New Mexico, including The Executive Leadership Institute, The Essentials for Supervisors Program, The Public Servant Emerging Leaders Program, and Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Santa Fe. |

Daniel Zillmann joined the Department of Cultural Affairs in February of 2020 after serving as a public relations contractor for the department. He was previously a publicist at Unison Media in New York, head of Media and Public Relations at The Santa Fe Opera, and Communications Manager at Minnesota Opera. Zillmann has worked for and volunteered his time in the performing arts industry since 1997. He has had more than 10 years of experience framing effective messaging into communications that implement culture and promote engagement. Zillmann holds a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Fine Arts from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. |

Mark Galassi is an astrophysicist and computer scientist at Los Alamos National Laboratory. He has worked on the HETE, HETE-2 and Swift satellites, as well as in Los Alamos’s nuclear non-proliferation effort and many other areas of space physics. Passionate about free/open-source software since 1984, he has contributed to the GNU project since then – most notably he designed and led the implementation of the GNU Scientific Library, and has consistently pressed for the use of free/open-source software in scientific research. He also is the chair of the board of the Software Freedom Conservancy. Raised in Italy studying classics, Mark then got his undergraduate degree in Physics from Reed College (1987), and his PhD in mathematical and computational physics from Stony Brook University (1992). He has been in Los Alamos ever since, except for a two-year sabbatical working for Cygnus (the first free/open-source software company, now part of Red Hat). Mark is a co-founder of the Institute for Computing in Research. |
