Chaplaincy

The Chairman and committee members are devoted to the spirituality of the Club without regard to a particular religious denomination. The Chaplain Chair ensures the spiritual well being of the club is maintained through the following subcommittees: Invocations: The invocation committee chair seeks volunteers to deliver a short, non-denominational, yet inspirational message to open our club meetings and help set a positive tone. The club chair typically passes around a three month sign-up sheet, each quarter, for volunteers to schedule an invocation. Invocations should be non denominational (appealing to members of all faiths) and never tied to a particular religion. Compassion: The Compassion committee (one person) will send sympathy cards to members who are ill or have lost a loved one. For the compassion outreach program to be effective, members are encouraged to inform the compassion chair when they learn of other Rotarians who need consolation due to a serious life event.
