Last week's Speaker; Uganda Registrations Services Bureau (URSB) Mandate
Last week due to unavailability of the scheduled Speaker , we were fortunate to have Past Assistant Governor Jane Bitek defended her classification about URSB’s mandate. She emphasized the importance of registering a company with URSB, informing URSB in case your company was buried to avoid continuous taxation by URA. She too enlightened the audience on Intellectual Property (IP) such as copy right and patent of Ugandan innovated products. A number of questions were asked such as how URSB would handle duplication of company names within and outside Uganda, which international agencies they were collaborating with on IP  and so on which she answered.

We were also happy to host our Assistant Governor who spoke to the club. Birthday and anniversary cards were given out to the August 2018 babies and their respective families by Past President Jackie. She ensured that the audiences burst out of laughter as she continuous requested Past President Aggrey to hug the male birthday babies.  Rotarian Yvette came to his rescue only to be hugged countless times leaving the audience happy with the whole experience.
