JUNE is a Rotary fellowship month when all Rotary clubs wind up their respective board year. On Monday, May 4, 2018 at 6:00 p.m., it was an emotional but graceful fellowship as President Rebecca addressed the club members. She talked about the milestones and achievements that had been accomplished in (2017/2018). Some of the achievements included quality membership growth by 15, commissioning of Kikandwa maternity ward, the Rotaract Club Kampala South good mentoring and the stronger relation the club had with the Rotary Club of Des Moines and Rotary Club of Millimani.  President Rebecca recognized and thanked her board (2017/2018) for a job well done. She sincerely thanked all Past Presidents for their support.

In the same light, Past President Rotarian Aggrey gave a vote of thanks on behalf of all club members. Despite a tough and challenging year President Rebecca was committed to diligently complete her year (2017/2018). Rotarian Aggrey welcomed her to the “Past Presidents group" once her year was accomplished and urged her to continue coming and mentoring the club.

We were also happy to have Mr. Thomas a candidate for the Rotary Peace Fellow scholarship defend his scholarship application as required by Rotary International. Members gave him audience and asked pertinent questions like; Who he was and why he needed the scholarship?  Mr. Thomas ably answered all the questions.

Rotarian Lillian as is the norm at Kampala South gave or allocated members the opportunity to give warm hugs to those whose birthdays and wedding anniversaries were in May 2018. For more details please click this link.
