DEALING WITH CHILDHOOD DIABETES@KlaSouth-26/9/16

 

It was touching and yet very educative & informative......!The "Southerners" hosted Mrs Jackie Namara Rukare on Monday 26th September 2016 at Hotel Africana (home of the Rotary Club of Kampala South). She made a very moving presentation, on HOW TO DEAL WITH CHILDHOOD DIABETES. With no medical background, Jackie is helping families and children suffering from Diabetes through her company SugarCUBES - an initiative founded to provide a support network to help both the children and families to cope with living with childhood diabetes. She shared a personal experience of how she has dealt with this for more than 5 years in her own family and called upon all parents and all human beings to be vigilant, and get the basic ABCs of handling this situation. 

 

It was yet another "first of its kind" as the Southerners signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) with 106.1 JAZZ FM and M CONSULTS with the main objective of improving awareness and Rotary image within the country and beyond, and strategic Public Relations and branding.

The Club has created "THE ROTARY MINUTE"  in partnership with 106.1 JAZZ FM which will be aired every day. This is a Kla South Sponsored platform where the "facts about Rotary" will be shared with general public. 

 

 

Kla South shall also FREELY air announcements of projects, activities, conferences & training organized by any Club in D9211 (Rotary, Rotaract, Interact). The Clubs simply have to contact the Kla South PR Directorate on +256701145556.

More to that, the partnership with M CONSULTS, is designed to enhance Club & Rotary Image in and outside the country through professional branding and PR services. 

 

And as usual, it was merry making during and after fellowship as the MIGHTY PLUTO BUDDY GROUP treated the members and guests to a "sumptuous" combination of "kabalagala, bagiya & pizza" That explains the happy faces below..............VVVVV
