Welcome to our NEW  Rotary Club!

Chartered in June 2012, the Fargo Moorhead PM Rotary Club was the vision of the sitting District 5580’s Governor, Tom Riley.  It was his goal to launch a new club that would entice and involve more young people in the Fargo-Moorhead area.  Since Tom was a member of the FM AM Club, that club made it their mission to help make Tom’s wish a reality!

Sylvia Lunski, Past President of the FM AM Club, took on the task of mentoring and fostering this new club, and was a major force in making it happen before the end of Tom’s Governorship.  We began meeting in January 2012, and were happily surprised that from the first meeting forward, we have never had less than 20 people in attendance!

Since the other four clubs in the Fargo Moorhead area meet for lunch or breakfast, we wanted this club to have a different appeal – so we meet for Happy Hour!  We also have a lighter time commitment – in that we meet the first and third Tuesday for regular meetings, and for the four meeting commitment to Rotary International, we volunteer one day, and have our Club Orientation for the fourth meeting.  In addition, our club dues are lower due to not including meals.

We are a diverse group of professionals with a wide range of ages – but all young at heart!  We are always looking for enthusiastic individuals to join us in our joint mission of providing Service over Self in the community, and internationally.
