Proud of our History, Anticipating the Future

The Juneau Glacier Valley Rotary Club was founded in 1964 and is one of four Rotary clubs in Juneau, Alaska.  The club, with approximately 55 members, has established itself as a fun-loving and active club which manages premier projects which have become mainstays in the community of Juneau.   Riverside Rotary Park,  The Southeast Alaska Foodbank Food Drive, High School and Vocational Scholarships continue annually in addition to a variety of other community service projects.  Our strong commitment to the ideals of Rotary has been sustained throughout the club's history and can be attributed to the personalities of the club's charter members.

The Rotary Club of Juneau Glacier Valley was chartered in 1964 and became the second Rotary Club in Juneau.  It's sponsor. the Juneau Rotary Club (Chartered in 1935), had grown to the point where a second club seemed appropriate for the the community. The Glacier Valley Club formally started under a provisional charter on June 30, 1964, and received its formal charter from District 504 in a ceremony on September 24, 1964, which included District Governor of District 504, Win McLean, and Juneau Rotary Club President, Tom Morgan.

As new members join Glacier Valley Rotary, new ideas emerge as to how we can serve our community and the world.  As PEOPLE OF ACTION, we are so excited to imagine the impact our club may have in the coming years!
