DESCRIPTION:Save a life with just your hands! Serve Elk Grove by teaching o
thers how to save a life.  Our club is collaborating with Cosumnes Fire D
istrict to teach Hands Only CPR. Choose a time best for you - 9am-11am\, 1
 1am-1pm\, or 1pm - 2pm. According to the American Heart Association\, near
ly 70 percent of Americans wouldn't know how to administer CPR in an emerg
ency situation. It takes just 10 minutes to learn how to keep a cardiac a
rrest victim alive until paramedics arrive. Hands-Only CPR focuses on the
first few minutes following a cardiac arrest\, since the lungs and blood c
ontain only enough oxygen to keep vital organs healthy for that amount of
time. You can learn Hands-Only CPR for free. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Traini
ng in hands-only CPR does not equal certification in traditional CPR. Stil
l\, the American Heart Association recommends hands-only CPR in cases wher
e a teen or adult suddenly collapses in an “out-of-hospital” setting (
such as at home\, at work or in a park). “CPR can more than double a per
son’s chances of survival\,” according to the AHA.
