Announcements

We have a busy couple of weeks ahead! Please refer to the event schedule on our website for more details.
  • Our speaker this week is from the Homeward Bound Golden Retriever Rescue Sanctuary. This all-volunteer organization rescues and heals homeless Golden Retrievers and finds safe, loving homes for them. Thanks to Mike Calvert for bringing this week's speaker.
  • Thank-you to Mike Baker for helping with Ridgeview's Work Day last weekend. Mike oversaw brick-laying for a border around the school's Eco-Lab. In appreciation, Ridgeview teachers had a brick made for him. Thank you Mike!
  • This Saturday Mike Baker invites us to join him for Work Day at the Walk of Honor at Granite Bay Community Park. We will plant 190 small plants and 2 trees to beautify the area. Start time will be 8AM. Bring gloves and garden tools.
  • Other events this Saturday include the 18th annual Tour de Lincoln bike ride hosted by our friends at the Lincoln Rotary Club. If you're a biking enthusiast, this is a great ride and tons of fun. More information and tickets available here: http://tourdelincoln.org/. Later in the evening, the Passport Club is hosting Wine-d Up For Youth, a night of food and wine, to raise funds for Rotary exchange students, human trafficking, and other youth programs. Tickets available at http://www.winedupforyouth.com/.
  • Next Friday 5/17 is the District Blood Drive! We need your help in filling the mobile blood mobile that will be at Rusch Park, from 11:30am-3:30pm. Also on Friday, volunteers are needed to pack meals at the district-wide Rise Against Hunger meal packing event. Click here to sign up now: Rise Against Hunger
  • Next Saturday 5/18 is our annual district conference. Did you know guests are free, and you can bring a friend as a guest? Register here: https://rotary5180.org/Stories/2019-district-conference
  • The South Placer Rotary Club is holding their annual brewfest in Rocklin on Saturday, June 1. We usually provide help for this event and they reciprocate by helping with our Crab Feed. Please email Al Savery at flogger1227@gmail.com if you would like to help. Shifts we need filled are: 9:00-noon, 11:45am-3:00pm, and 2:45pm-5:30/6pm. State a preferred time slot you are available and Al will try his best to accommodate your time request.
