This Friday's meeting we are hosting students from Granite Bay High School who will compete in a speech contest for a cash prize. Thanks to Pat Hassna for organizing this annual event.

Our next Gathering Inn dinner service is this coming Monday March 25 at Valley Springs church. Please let Matt Patterson know if you'd like to help.
Mike Baker has installed lights at our Walk of Honor site -- thank you Mike! He's also taken on another construction project. Mike has graciously offered to help Ridgeview School with their upcoming work day April 6-7. Let's hope this work day doesn't get rained out again! Mike will be installing a chain link fence and also laying down a brick border. If anyone would like to help, please get in touch with Mike or me. The school is engraving a brick with Mike's name on it (along with Granite Bay Rotary) so it will be fun to see that brick set amongst all the other Eco-Lab donors.
Our club is co-hosting the annual Easter egg hunt & pancake breakfast with the Roseville Kiwanis. We need help securing sponsors and donations for this event. The rate is just $75 and sponsors will be given a 10'x10' booths space to set up a table. It's a great community event! Please let me know if you can think of vendors who may want to sponsor or donate gifts as prizes (past sponsors and donors include: dentists, chiropractors, insurance agents, game truck, jamba juice, etc).
John Milburn announced that he has received nearly 40 applications for the high school scholarship awards that our club sponsors. If you'd like to help review applications please let John Milburn know. Thank you John for leading this effort.
In Loving Memory
Many members of our club attended Dr. Jim "Doc" Yarrow's memorial service this past Saturday. It was wonderful to see the church filled with so many people paying respects to Doc, who lived a life of honor and service. Our club board voted to install a granite bench at the Walk of Honor memorial, and Doc's name will be the first one engraved on that bench. You will not be forgotten, Doc!
