Rotary International
Rotary International is a global organization that supports Rotary clubs and advances peace, health, hygiene, and economic development across the world. Rotary International focuses its humanitarian work in six key areas:

PROMOTING PEACE
Rotary facilitates conversations to foster understanding within and across cultures. We help refugees who have fled dangerous areas, negotiate ceasefires, and train adults and young leaders to prevent and mediate conflict.

FIGHTING DISEASE
Disease causes misery, pain, and poverty for millions of people worldwide. We educate and equip communities to stop the spread of life-threatening diseases like polio, and we expand access to health care in developing areas.

SUPPORTING EDUCATION
More than 775 million people over the age of 15 are illiterate. Our goal is to strengthen the capacity of communities to support basic education and literacy, reduce gender disparity in education, and increase adult literacy.

PROVIDING CLEAN WATER
Rotary promotes local solutions to bring clean water, sanitation, and hygiene to more people every day. We don’t just build wells; we share our expertise with community leaders to ensure these projects succeed long-term. Members of our club have assisted with such projects in Malawi and Mexico.

SUPPORTING MOTHERS & CHILDREN
Approximately 6 million children under the age of five die each year from malnutrition, poor health care, and inadequate sanitation. Rotarians work to expand access to quality care through mobile prenatal clinics and cancer screening, so mothers and their children can live and grow stronger.

GROWING LOCAL ECONOMIES
Nearly 800 million people live on less than $1.90 a day. Rotary is committed to providing sustainable solutions to cyclical poverty. Service projects to enhance economic development include microloans to entrepreneurs and skills development and business training, particularly for women.
