Metropolitan Lubbock Rotary has been involved in humanitarian projects in Malawi, Africa since 2013 providing assistance and opportunities for the villagers at Grace Center to become knowledgeable to provide education and basic medical care for their children, practice sustainable agriculture to fee their families, and build businesses to provide income for basic necessities.

Grace Center serves 22 villages, teaching and feeding over 600 students per day.  Our Global Grants have provided funding for the following:

  • training tailors at the Textile Center in design, finishing techniques, and marketing the finished product
  • educating Malawi teachers at Texas Tech University
Our development partners include the Grace Center and Village, The Grace Alliance Church in southern Malawi, Texas Tech University, Mzuzu University and Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Rotary International, and Rotary Clubs in District 5730 (including the Grant International Host, the Rotary Club of Metropolitan Lubbock).
