David Webb is a former Rotarian with the Longmont Rotary Club.
 

The Office of University Advancement announces the appointment of David A. Webb to the position of director of marketing and communications. Webb brings more than 25 years of marketing, corporate/market communications and writing experience to UAA. His career highlights include demand generation, internet marketing, market awareness, market research, business journalism and content development.

Most recently, Webb served as communications manager for SKF Machine Health in Fort Collins, Colorado, where he was responsible for conceiving and driving worldwide communications strategies for industrial machine maintenance products and services at a $10 billion company.

He spent six years as a professional trade journalist writing about companies in Silicon Valley, including IBM, Apple, Intel Hewlett-Packard and more. He interviewed several top technology industry executives about corporate strategy and product announcements, and broke national industry news stories relating to major acquisitions, product introductions and corporate performance.

As founder and former manager of a public relations field office, Webb oversaw the performance of multiple account teams, client relations and new business development. He has conceived and directed strategic media relations programs that resulted in broad, positive and accurate coverage, and has managed annual print and digital advertising campaigns of up to $500 million. He’s also served as senior account manager for multiple communications firms, where he was responsible for providing strategic public relations counsel, crisis communications response and media relations.
