Erik retired last September after spending 33 years working as a photojournalist for the Anchorage Daily News and Alaska Dispatch News. Before that he worked at the Kansas City Star following internships in KC, Jacksonville, FL and Charleston, W Va. Erik grew up in Oregon and earned degrees at Stanford University and Ohio University. He and his wife Robin moved to Alaska over the winter of 1984-85. His work for the local newspaper took him around the state and overseas, and he is extremely grateful for all the support he received from family, colleagues and the community over the years."
