Thank you to all who emailed their votes on the motion for COVID-19 funding.  A majority of you voted yes to funding motion.  The
complete tally is below:

President Angie, President-elect Art and Sergeant of arms Jay participated in a district wide meeting on Tuesday with featured speakers Diane Kaplan of the Rasmuson Foundation and Nina Kemppel of the Alaska Community Foundation (ACF).  In summary, AIRC can contribute to the D5010 Rotary Cares Disaster Relief Fund​ through ACF.   Contributions to the Relief Fund will be matched dollar for dollar by the Rasmuson Foundation.  Additionally, we can designate to which organizations our contribution will be distributed, and the Rasmuson Foundation will be paying for the administration costs of this effort.  That means 100% of our donation goes to the non-profits!  AIRC will be taking advantage of this opportunity to DOUBLE our contributions.  If you want to learn more about this program, you can visit https://alaskacf.org/blog/funds/d5010-rotary-cares-disaster-relief-fund/#donate.
 
 
 
We will move ahead and get funds out to Rotary / ACF indicating our charities as follows:
 
  • Food Bank - $2000
  • AK Child & Family - $500
  • Children's Lunchbox - $500
