Student Of The Month
Students of the Month and Students of the Year Scholarships
Working with Cumberland Valley High School and Cumberland Perry Area Vocational Technical
School, selects students each month to attend Rotary meetings with their parents
and receive recognition during the months of October, November, January, February,
March, and April. A male and female senior from Cumberland Valley and a male and
female senior from Cumberland Perry Area Vocational Technical School are selected
each of these six months.
Facilitates the selection of four students of the month to each receive a $1,250
scholarship for post high school education – a male and female from Cumberland Valley
High School and a male and female from Cumberland Perry Area Vocational Technical
School. Attends the awards ceremonies at these schools when the scholarships are
presented. These ceremonies are typically held in late-May. The Vo-Tech scholarship
is called the Rotary Club of Mechanicsburg North Tony Vicic Memorial Scholarship in
memory of Dr. Tony Vicic, a member of Rotary Club of Mechanicsburg North up until his
death in 2002. Children of Rotarians are not eligible for these scholarships.
