Be sure to join us for our traditional annual YMCA gift wrapping project at the Copley-Price YMCA at Noon, Tuesday, December 10th. The YMCA will provide the gifts and wrapping supplies and tools. Bring your holiday spirit and your best wrapper skills!
Also, the YMCA is asking for donations from club members in the form of $25 gift cards from Target for children age 12 to 18. You are also welcome to make donations via check payable to the Copley-Price YMCA.. Hope to see you there!
The Center For Cognitive Resilience presented a program on strategies to prevent and reverse Alzheimer's on November 19th. The center is located in Poway and offers patients a precision medicine approach to prevent and reverse early stages of cognitive decline. Health Coach Michael Sanders and Dr. Manna Sembly talked about the treatments offered by the Center For Cognitive Resilience.

Art Pratt Foundation of Old Mission Rotary presented a Grant to San Diego Dance Theater
On Tuesday, November 9th, the Art Pratt Foundation of Old Mission Rotary presented a grant of $5400 to San Diego Dance Theater. The funds will be used for much needed new chairs for their Lightbox Theater. The grant was accepted by Terry Wilson who is the Executive Artistic Director and by Lisa Strickland who is the President of the Board of Directors of the nonprofit performing arts organization located in the Arts District at Liberty Station.
San Diego Dance Theater is a modern dance company and school committed to providing a home to dancers of all ages, backgrounds, and cultures. Their mission is to provide access to professional training, performances and programming representing diversity of all kinds. They offer summer dance workshops, cross-border projects and performances.
Their signature event is the very popular crowd favorite, Trolley Dances™. San Diego Dance Theater has partnered with the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System for over 25 years and every fall, tour guides lead groups of audience members on and off the trolley to view original pieces of site-specific choreography.
Members of Old Mission Rotary were very impressed by Terry Wilson and Lisa Strickland and the San Diego Dance Theater. Old Mission Rotary is proud to support such a strong cultural and arts organization in our community.
