Thursday, December 7 was a great day to be a Sausalito Rotarian!

We had the pleasure of having both Governors from Districts 5150 and 5130 in attendance to celebrate the humble accomplishments made by our club. District Governor 5150 Ron Gin was able to celebrate the contributions made to Rotary International made by our club in the effort to eradicate Polio. 5130 DG Bob Rogers spoke tour club about being a Polio survivor and how significant the contributions made by Rotarians locally are are for so many world wide.

Bob Rogers had been invited to receive a donation from our Rotary Club of Sausalito’s Charitable Trust yesterday to District 5130 in the amount of $21,850.00 (plus) for Fire Relief in the North Bay. What a glorious day!

RC of Sausalito enjoyed our speaker Rob Devincenzi, President and Publisher of the Marin Independent Journal (Marin IJ) who gave a very comprehensive and condensed talk about the makeup of residents residing in Marin County, the challenges, as well as the exciting changes at the Marin IJ and how we all make a difference.

We were pleased to welcome a new member Jeffrey Kingston, and were delighted to receive beautiful handmade cards from teachers and students from Willow Creek Academy thanking RCS for grants made to their school improving their learning experience, as well as a fabulous birthday serenade to member Nancy Terry and general fun loving and and elbow nudging to all in attendance.
