Join Rotary Club Sausalito Charitable Foundation in an effort to END POLIO NOW

September 19th —Catalina Channel Island

Marathon Swimmer and Sausalito Rotarian Melissa Blaustein will attempt to swim across the Catalina Channel to raise funds for the Rotary Foundation’s Polio Plus Program.

This swim will be the third and final swim in her quest to earn the Triple Crown of Marathon Swimming.

She will jump in complete darkness just before midnight on Thursday, September 19th and swim into the following day.

The Catalina Channel is a cold open water 20-mile Channel crossing, which is influenced by unpredictable currents, strong wind, and large Pacific swells.
