You may be curious about the Kick-Off Mixer (details above). This is a new event for our club. President Rachel has had the great idea of partnering with the Rotary Club of San Bruno and the Millbrae Chamber of Commerce to host this mixer. It will accomplish several things:
We will have the chance to meet people who may be potential Rotarians! This would be a great time to bring people you know who may be interested in learning about Millbrae Rotary or San Bruno Rotary.
We will strengthen our relationships with San Bruno Rotary and the Millbrae Chamber of Commerce. Both of these organizations have been strong partners with us in the past. Reminder: one of our newest members, Jamie Monozon, is the President/CEO of the Chamber!
It will be fun! Sometimes people say there is actually a 5th part of the 4 Way Test - Is it fun? This family-friendly event will definitely be fun!

Let's keep our communication moving as fast as our projects!
🤔 Rotary's Founding
Rotary was founded in Chicago on February 23, 1905, by attorney Paul Harris. It was named "Rotary" because members originally rotated their weekly meetings among each other's offices. You have really missed out if you haven't seen Paul Harris' rap video here!
🧻 Rotary's First Community Service Project
Rotary’s first-ever community service project was the 1907 construction of public “comfort stations” (restrooms) in downtown Chicago. Initiated by founder Paul Harris, this public health and sanitation project successfully transformed Rotary from a basic professional networking group into the world's first civic service club.
Wishing a very happy birthday and anniversary to our incredible Millbrae Rotarians celebrating their special milestones! Thank you for everything you do to bring energy, dedication, and "Service Above Self" to our club and community. Be sure to send them a warm note, a quick text, or cross the room to celebrate them in person at our next gathering! 🥳🎉
